Dude, those are actual clearances provided by ATC at departure. I only have 10 years of using them. How many times have you used them and they were wrong on fltplan.com? Do you have an example from your logbooks and flight plans you can provide us?

I think you are wrong. I file those plans, especially the ones with similar airplane types (piston, turbine etc) and the one with 20 flight is not fake. There is no reason to tell people those routes aren't valid. Your experience sounds like you never filed them. I have.

People do, yes, because that's what you're supposed to do per the AIM and FAA publications. It's also what p121 and others who employ certified flight planners do.

To the OP. How goes the sale? I hope you’re successful, it is a great unit and anyone who buys it will be quite happy with all its features at that price point.

The server won't let me Like your post but I do. I don't see a problem with posting on a FS thread if the subject is related to the item for sale and doesn't stomp but getting this sideways seems wrong.

Thanks guys. Happy new year! Not to hijack the thread.

PhD - Psychology / Neuroscience - she’ll be working on developmental and rare diseases with children and adolescents at Harvard. Learned I have 3 weeks to get her to the area, do apartment shopping, pay *4 months rent up front (grab testicles, *cough), then fly up and move her in. But once settled, she’ll be on her own and self sufficient.

Back to the GPS 175, I’m very interested. I think this is a good price and you get a lot for your money. Can do both LPV approaches, as well as draw the “ILS” for visual approaches/ slave to your AP. I’ve been following the product for a while now. If you’re like me, your radios already work, and you only care about the GPS approaches (which more VORs and ILSs are getting dropped anyway), it’s a good way to go.

I think the 175 is probably Garmin’s best bang for the buck product. If one of you guys aren’t lucky enough to get it first, I plan to circle back around.
