Newsworthy! Could you post the link for that? I'd like to read but couldn't find it. Tj

Now I see why NASA can’t get back to the moon. Isn’t there wildlife in Florida where they launch now? While the last launch was catastrophic to the pad, I am not sure how it affected wildlife in a significant manner.

KSC is in the center of the Canaveral National Seashore which is a natural park and home to hundreds if not thousands of species of plants and wildlife. I don’t imagine that an environmental impact survey was run back in the late 60s and early 70s when it came to be. The current process could be “expedited” if the right people wanted it to be, but that does not seem to be the case.

I had seen elsewhere where they said something to the effect of “we have up to 130 days left under the statute and we intend to take all of it.” Can’t find that quote now, but there is also a tweet out there from Elon lambasting them over it.

All that is left is some FWS paperwork and a de-stack / re-stack to arm the FTS. Attachment: SpaceX.JPG

Could that be in November? Yes, yes it could. It could also be in March. Safe bet they’ve got a bit of an inside track. The activity has been ramping up.

Probably but the crew loyalty investigations may take a while. Bureaucracy finds a way. Username Protected wrote: When China decides to send a rocket to Mars, do you think they are going to ask Fish and Wildlife for permission? Of course they will. The difference there is that the request will be accompanied by prefilled answer, needing only signature.
