I'd love to see the original eclipse vison come to pass. When asked about his regrets Burn Rutan says that Eclipse strayed from its initial vision, and he regrets the direction it went. In the vision that Burt had is was smaller than the original eclipse and the fuselage was rotomolded... 2nd thing I'd like to see built... Something twin engine, and pressurized.. My aerostar, only with fully FADEC self managing engines and half the cost to maintain and burn half the fuel. (The failed EPS 350 hp diesel would have been cool) The https://veloceplanes.com/600/ comes pretty close if they can pull it off... The Velocity V-twin is flying with a pair of the Delta hawk (now certified ) diesels. They claim 240KTAS and 12GPH... They also have one flying with a pair of the UL520T motors that is a turbocharged version of the motor dark aero selected. A pressurized version of this would be cool... Hell a 50% scale B-29 with 4 seats pressurization and 4 deltahawk or 4 UL520T would be pretty dam cool...

Bonanza sized 6 place tri-plane with 3x 100hp engines that can run on autogas with the total fuel burn and overhaul cost of a single Cont-550.
If a critical engine fails on takeoff, I want the plane to continue climbing on 2 engines even with the failed engine unfeathered.
Emergency engine inop procedures would be in the following order...
1) Maintain blueline or above... 2) Raise gear 3) Raise flaps 4) Within the next 10-15 minutes, identify the failed engine and feather prop or just return and land.

Pressurized Velocity V-Twin, either 4 or 6 seats.

I would like to see more piston twin experimentals, such as the: Double Ender Gweduck And I'd love if someone would just come up with a kit carbon fibre Turbo Commander or Avanti. That would be absolutely awesome! But the new Velocity Twin XL is a great addition in that vain. Attachment: doubleender.jpg Attachment: gweduck.jpg

Quote from the guy Duane that runs velocity...
We don’t pressurize any of our aircraft due to the added weight and liability associated with the pressurization system. (Lancair as an example) Ever wonder why Cessna gave up on the pressurized Skymaster, 210 and all the piston engine twins that were pressurized? What about Beech and the pressurized Baron and Bonanza? Either the market was not there or pressurizing a piston engine airplane was just not a good idea. In any case, we have no plans to pressurize the present line of Velocity aircraft. I had the same conversation with Duane back at OSH ‘21. It’s too bad, because I think it would be an excellent family traveler.

Dan[/quote] About 2 min in you will see it. He wanted to build a Constellation but the fuselage lofting was too complex and B-29 Nacelles fit his engine better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVVGgswXfcQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLKNPOSpMpY&t=49s1. Build another Global Explorer. See video above 2. Supercub / PA-12 type that is setup for covering with Sailcloth material instead of glued on fabric. Cover in a weekend not months. Open for repair and reinstall. But not tube spars or batten ribs. Full wing ribs with extruded I beam spars. Attach fabric to ribs with similar method to AN-2. 3. 172 type with easy access to front seats and optimized for mass production. (Cessna 162 prototype still exists). 4. 450-500hp Piston engine that operates at lower RPM for longer propeller than an IO-720 can swing. Mate to original vision of Sherpa 5. 2, 4 6 place passenger cabin that has been drop and swing tested for crash survivability that is a starting point to continue engineering wings and tail for different airplanes. 6. Piston Replacement for Cessna Piston twins that is not slower with less useful load.
