The images in this post were taken on a flight conducted on Monday, 12 June 2023. As you can see, power is set at 19" and 2200 RPM (45 %). EGT is leaned to 100 rich of peak, giving a fuel flow of 15 gph. The OAT is 14 Celsius @ 6500' with and indicated of 125 knots, which is a true airspeed of 140 knots or 161 statute mph.
Completed heavy service check & inspection accompanying oil & filter change in May. Fuel control unit and flow divider overhauled, new mufflers (along with 3 new risers), magnetos (slick 6351 series), spark plugs (twelve REM38Es), and complete firewall forward hose kit installed. Various other discrepancies written up in the prior 25 hours were addressed, as well. Then it spent a month at the Bakersfield Jet Center for annual inspection (1 August signoff). New Goodyear 8 ply Flight Custom III main tires, gear and brake hydraulic hoses, brakes pads (with caliper rebuild), and a whole bunch of other new components were part of this very extensive annual. So...
Compression readings: #1 77, #2 77, #3 75, #4 78, #5 75, #6 76. Performed borescope inspection on each cylinder; found each to be in excellent condition. Engine used 1 quart of oil in previous 25 hours.
Test was performed after engine was brought up to operating temp (cylinder head temp 270, oil temp 60 on shutdown).
Ex Ameriflight aircraft with an stc'd cargo converted interior. Note: Because this aircraft was operated on a Part 135 certificate until withdrawn from service in 2005, in addition to Airworthiness Directives (ADs), all service bulletins were complied with as required for an aircraft in commercial service, unlike Part 91, where only ADs need be complied with. So, for instance, there was a service bulletin pertaining to the nose gear trunnion, calling for the installation of a Piper service kit to address possible cracking of this component. Under Part 91, this is not required, and many PA32Rs are flying without this mod. This aircraft has very complete service and maintenance records that far exceed anything you'll see with aircraft flown exclusively under Part 91...literally boxes of records to date of manufacture. These two mentioned items will greatly reduce maintenance cost going forward.
New weight and balance done on 8 June 2023. Empty wt 2047#, TOGW 3600#, useful load 1553#. At 60% power, it does just north of 150 kts or 173 mph statute, while consuming 15 to 15.5 gallons per hour.
Dual KX 170B with dual KI204 VOR/Localizer converter & Glideslope indicators; KN 64 DME with remote nav channeling capability; KR86 ADF (Leaving it installed as backup nav); KMA20 Audio panel/3 light marker beacon; new Stratus EGS ADSB transponder encoder system; Piper Altimatic II wing leveler / heading hold.
Times as of 9 June 2023: 15,506.3 tt, 1946.7 SMOH - engine (factory overhaul March 2003), prop 1663.1 TSO. Aircraft is being delivered with fresh August 2023 annual; all ADs current, including wing bolt eddy current inspection. The engine is an IO-540-K1G5 300 hp (STC conversion from K1G5D dual mag single drive to K1G5 - dual mag independent drives). Prop has the B designated hub, so A.D. requiring replacement not applicable.

Hmm, I guess the seller doesn't want anyone to know about the previous ad: Attachment: Screenshot 2023-07-01 at 8.02.06 PM.png

And oh dear, Mike does appear to be offended and he's gonna tell on you... Considering the ad, the poster and the weird asking price increases from the previous ad (yes, I also remember the listing from back in March), this thing really needs to be on eBay or Barnstormers rather than on BT.

I’m not sure what this guys deal is. No surprise he’s offended. His previous pricing changes made no sense and he was very defensive about it when people asked. Seems to turn off a lot of people on it. My guess is he doesn’t really want to sell it? Having bought and sold quite a few airplanes, I don’t get it. This really isn’t the right place to sell that airplane with those tactics. And threatening to report people to beechtalk? How friendly. Not the normal professionalism I always see from folks using this great resource.

Terrific aircraft. And back in 1967 I attended my Granddads retirement party in Wichita, Kansas from...wait for it...BEACH AIRCRAFT CORPORATION. Before Flying Tigers, I flew for Ameriflight when they were known as California Air Charter. Flew their PA32s, and Navajos. Nothing wrong with Pipers either. Every time I fly this thing, memories flood back from the early seventies. "Ca...can...can't we all just get along ?" You spelled BEECH wrong
