Not grumpy Chris, just concerned for you because your airplane is way more capable than you are right now and I hope you realize that.
You keep saying that your plane is a lot easier than a piston twin or a SETP. How exactly do you know that with your experience level? Just because people with 1000’s of hours tell you it’s easy doesn’t mean it is for you. 350+ kts in the flight levels, a ton of complex systems that are 40-50 years old, going to an 8400’ airport at mins, in clouds with < 20 hrs of actual IMC time, potential icing, and all while single pilot with family on board doesn’t sound easy to me. Have you ever flown in icing conditions single pilot?
I guess my point to this discussion is that I’ve read your posts over the past year since you bought the plane and in all sincerity, you’re a rich guy who bought a very capable airplane at a very inexperienced level. Please don’t let a sense of comfortability, aka complacency, make you a statistic. The NTSB accident database is filled with scenarios just like this.

Whilst this is entertaining, I think you guys should take this up elsewhere. Even though the banter is keeping it on the top of the list, Tarver's ad has been hijacked!
