The 550 is the new V which would be 1 million more.
Text Mike at 863-899-1617 What’s typical cruise, burn and range on this? Beautiful plane.

Is it possible to convert a 550 to a 551? How about a 551 to 550?
If so what is involved?
I can’t seem to find a straight answer to this question.

Quote: If so what is involved? It is mostly paperwork and some placards. The two planes are essentially identical. I've attached the one for the 500 to 501 conversion (I don't have the 550 to 551 conversion handy, it might be more extensive due to max weight changes). I think the 550 to 551 conversion is SB550-11-3, but I can't find a copy on the web. Quote: I can’t seem to find a straight answer to this question. That's because Textron's SB requires the factory does the conversion and they no longer support it. So the SB exists which implies it can be done, but there is no practical way to do it. Maybe if you collect the SB parts (placards) and had a sympathetic FSDO, you might be able to do it, but it is definitely not assured you can do it. The key piece is the creation of the data plate and that's really something only Textron can do. For the 500 to 501 conversion, that makes sense. The 550 to 551 conversion doesn't as much due to the lower max takeoff weight of 12,500 lbs which limits range or payload (stock 550 max takeoff weight is 13,300 lbs with various ways to elevate that). I find it amusing the plane for sale has a "551" tail number when it is a "550". Maybe it started life as a 551? Mike C.

Text Mike at 863-899-1617 I’ll take it for $950.00 firm. I hope the moderators hold advertiser’s to their typed #

I assume this $950.00 is not the actual price. Wonder if they would like a 58-P for trade in?
