It shows 81db which I think stage 3 with 2 engines is 89db Thank you Matt. I referenced the wrong AC. I meant the P180 is not listed in AC 36-3H (descendant of -3F). A local regulation references that AC. I can’t quite tell if that AC uses the measurement technique of FAR 36 Amendment F as referenced in the POH, or Amendment G, also listed in the POH (which matches the 81.8 number). It is a significant difference in numeric values. The local reg also specifically exempts “All aircraft classified as Stage 3 aircraft by the Federal Aviation Administration“ which is what makes me want to connect to a piece of paperwork that actually uses the term “Stage 3”, but it appears that term only is defined in FAR 36 for turbojet. Hopeful that I’m missing something. There are a somewhat headspinning number of AC and FAR 36 Amendments and levels and none are quite equivalent as far as I can tell. They all measure differently and have somewhat different level meanings.

Gents, I'm working to help connect the dots for a Microsoft Flight Simulator developer who is trying to develop a Piaggio Avanti II. This developer has released several near study-level GA aircraft and each accurately replicates the operations of each airframe to a very high degree, including avionics and flight dynamics.
As background, I was working with the developer to try to get a Citation X+ (our corporate aircraft) into the sim, but our owner sold it prior to our getting everyone's logistics to align. The feedback the developer has received from Asobo (and Microsoft) was that they would like to get a Piaggio into the simulator.
They already have a basic model for the Piaggio Avanti II but are looking for access to an airplane and pilot for roughly a day to confirm measurements, take photos, and record sounds. If possible, they would like to go on a quick flight to record in-flight sounds as well.
I'm happy to answer basic questions, but if you're willing to have a conversation with the Managing Director of the developer who will be able to walk you through precisely what they need in greater detail, I'm happy to introduce the two of you. Should you have any questions, want to see some of their other work, or want to discuss further, please shoot me a PM.
Thanks!

There are 2 Avantis, owned by the same operator, based at Paine Field in Everett, just up the road from Microsoft HQ. I don't know where your designer is, but there should be someone at Redmond who can be delegated to run up 405 and get whatever they need.

I'm sure they have some staff at HQ dedicated to the project but probably not these folks.

Precisely.
As an aside (and something that was asked in a PM). Your tail number will not be included, and your livery will not be the default livery.

Or in the meantime, a "differences training" summary between the Avanti I and II would be helpful. Thanks. I've got a .pdf copy of a II POH.. Feel free to send me an email at bryon@wetzelaviation.com and I'll reply and attach it. Bryon

I was probably lighter than that, around 10300 lbs. And at ISA+3. Is your FF difference a gauge difference or an actual fuel flow difference?
