Any Maule owners out there? I am helping a friend with the paperwork on her recently purchased M-5. For a 1983 model the Approved Flight Manual is comically short at 15 pages. Behind the AFM in the folder is the required and optional equipment lists. Obviously after 40 years a lot of the items(both optional and required) are no longer valid. I do not believe this info has to be carried in the airplane. Anybody disagree? All of the info has been scanned in and will be digital except the airworthiness and registration.

Details for the appropriate AFM are in The Type Certificate Data Sheet (see attached file). You didn't mention which flavor of M5.

Required equipment and placards are also called out in the TCDS.

It's the M-5-200, the only surviving copy. I have the TCDS bookmarked and have looked at it quite a bit over the last few weeks.
