N2295A is a factory turbocharged TSIO-520-powered V35A with many desirable features. It is based at KSAT (San Antonio International) and is owned by two BT members. A recent TOH to comply with the ECi cylinder AD, a low time engine and high useful load combine to create a flexible travel platform. Fellow BT member, Bill Compton, has owned a V35A-TC over 30 years and frequently posts on BT about how versatile this airframe-engine combination is. With tip tanks and GAMI injectors, it can take you long distances quickly at high altitudes quite efficiently.

Beautiful modern maroon & white paint scheme with gray leather interior and custom front sheepskin seat covers (Merino).

In April 2022, N2295A was thoroughly examined at an American Bonanza Society Service Clinic with only a few minor items noted.

N2295A has no damage history, complete logs since new, and a useful load of 1169 lbs. The FTA climate controlled (set and forget) air conditioning system creates a car-like environment on even the warmest days. The large baggage door and baggage compartment are rare in the pre-V35B airframes and make loading large cargo a breeze.

N2295A has 777 hours SMOH, 42 STOH and 987 SPOH. The turbocharger enables manifold pressure to be maintained into the teens, allowing greater speeds at reduced fuel flow. Typical FF in cruise is between 13.8 (@ 65% power) and 15.6 (@ 75% power) gallons per hour LOP. The turbo provides many options depending on speed desired and altitude, along with additional power at higher altitudes to facilitate additional climb when needed.

This aircraft has 74 gallons usable in the mains and 40 gallons in the tip tanks for a total of 114 gallons useable, giving enormous range and fuel management options.

N2295A avionics include a G530 WAAS plus an SL-30 NAV/COM, King HSI coupled to a KFC 200 autopilot with electric pitch trim and automatic yaw damper. The GTX 345 transponder provides ADS-B in and out that is easily synced with tablet EFBs, also sending traffic and weather to the G530. Engine monitoring via the pilot side-mounted JPI 700 digital engine data management system provides accurate depiction of all 6 cylinders CHT/EGT, TIT, battery voltage, oil temp and fuel flow with fuel totalization (fuel used and remaining). The PS Engineering PM8000 audio panel features external music input.

The factory installed 114.9 cubic feet Beechcraft Oxygen System with ports at each seat assists with high altitude flight using the included Oxymizer cannulas.

N2295A is richly configured with D-Shannon engine baffles, Whelan LED landing and taxi lights for reduced electrical load and superb lighting, single (installed) and dual yokes (Cygnet), Rapco standby air pressure system, BAS inertial reel shoulder harnesses for front seats, hard wired Battery Minder maintainer to optimize battery health, Rosen sun visors, standard headsets jacks at all seats, and pilot and copilot Bose LEMO (6 pin) headset jacks supporting ship-powered ANR headsets.

Scott & I logged a few cross country trips at 14,500 and 15,000 and saw the following TAS (fairly close to the book numbers).

60% HP - 12.5 GPH = 161 KTAS

70% HP - 14.6 GPH = 175-180 KTAS

Matt
