From DA40s to Columbia 400 and now a 72 Baron E55 (almost). Looking forward to the new challenge and will probably most certainly be checking in with you experts on avionics and interior upgrades and, eventually, paint shops to figure out how to save some money. My Baron will primarily be on dry lease down in NC.

We will be worthless (as will your Baron) when it comes to saving money…. Spending your money? That’s a whole new ballgame !

Yeah, should have said "help me to not spend as much money as I might otherwise have done without expert guidance..."

I am interested in leasing. Where are you in North Carolina?

My friend is running a Baron in his Part 135 Operation. He budgets $30,000 for a 100 hour inspection and usually is close, with some over that and some under. (By a little)

He had better change shops, or buy a turbine. That is out of line. I fly 100 hr/yr +/- and I figure $10K for an annual. I am almost always under.

Is there anything special about the Part 135 inspections? I dropped him off to pick up his Baron after the last 100 hour and the bill was $28,000+. This was from VIP at Hartford Bainard, who's shop rate is high, but who does great work.
