There is something more in play here, the last I saw the gear inspection/overhaul on a 100 and 300 is estimated at $80-$100k. 500k has a lot of other items included.

Could it be the Stevens tax? Maybe jobs like those explain the banner above touting $50k maintenance freebies or the "outstanding parties" they throw

That doesn't seem accurate. For my 2010 Phenom 100 the 10Y inspection was ~$100K. The 10Y landing gear overhaul cost ~$120K, which is certainly expensive; however, the gear o/h price is coming down now that there is competition in the market. The Phenom 300 is perhaps 10% more.

By the way there is a thread from a year or two ago called "The Best Light Jet is..." in Brand X Talk. (Not sure how to link)

I now fly the Phenom 300 after putting about 1000 hours in the Phenom 100. The Phenom 100 was a great airplane. If the 100 had a couple hundred more pounds of thrust and 300lbs of extra fuel it would be stellar. I wondered why Embraer didn't name the Phenom 300 the Phenom 200, afterall it came out after the 100. Now I know, its because the Phenom 300 is 3x better. The 300 is simply an amazing machine, climbs straight to FL450 at max gross. Both Phenoms are built using the same engineering and LRU architecture as the Embraer regional jets; they're essentially small ERJs. There is a reason why NetJets and JetSuite fly the Phenoms.

NetJets flies a bunch of Cessna's as well.

Was it parked on Sanibel Island last week? ROFL - $500,000. Maybe he needs to find a new profession if he’s managing costs at that level.

Yes, they do. However, it’s all bigger stuff (Longitude, Latitude) no CJ’s. My guess is that 300 is a big reason for that.

There is no doubt that the CJ is a great airframe, but the 300 does give it competition and the 300 is the best selling light jet every year for the last 9 or 10 years running. There is a reason.

The phenom cabins are significantly better than CJ ones. I cannot imagine paying netjet fees and riding in a CJ cabin with my shoulder rubbing the wall the entire time.

Nothing against CJs, sweet planes, but unless you are a small human they leave a lot to be desired. I thought the MU2 cabin was more comfortable. I have been in a p300 with 7 others. It was fine, although, no Piaggio :)

I don’t recall the exact specifics but was at Page AZ airport in the summer and a charter Phenom 100 could not take off. The pilot said the hot short runway performance was horrible. Said he wished they were in a CJ or Phenom 300. He wasn’t impressed with the 100.

The PW600 series engines are a bit wheezy. That is by design, make them small and efficient. So the Eclipse, Mustang, P100 will not have great high and hot capability.

The CJ with FJ44 and P300 with PW535 have much bigger engines, with corresponding more fuel usage.

For my V, I can depart at max weight up to 40 C ambient, and up to 45 C if I drop 900 lbs. 45 C is the maximum allowed temperature (ISA + 39). I suspect there are very few days above 45 C in Page, AZ, (maybe never?).

The air conditioning on my plane would struggle to deal with a 45 C surface temperature. It won't be pleasant. Living in AZ isn't for me.
