Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce myself and my new airplane. I have been reading everything I can find on Bonanza's for several months and have really learned a great deal from reading the discussions here on BeechTalk.

In fact as I was looking for an airplane I had a very difficult time finding someone who I felt I could trust advise me and direct my search. Well I found Paul McCracken here on BeechTalk and am the proud new owner of N5655N!

N5655N is a 1990 F33A with 1054 hours TTAFE. It's a beautiful airplane which looks like a brand new model. The plane has a really nice panel with 530, King radios, KFC 150 Ap with HSI, FD & Alt Select, air conditioning, oxygen and a bunch of other stuff. I really didn't expect to find a plane as well equipped and in as pristine condition as this one so I feel really lucky. But kudos go to Paul for recognizing what a great opportunity it was and helping to negotiate the deal, inspect the plane, educate me on all kinds of things, arrange for an outstanding ferry pilot in Bill Sterling among other things.

James Mennella another BeechTalker flew me down to Paul's to pick up the plane last week and has been a tremendous help with lots of helpful information on flying the plane.

I'm just finishing up my private pilot training which has taken me 25 years to finish. So I hope to start my transition training in the F33A in earnest in the next couple of weeks. After that N5655N gets tip tanks and an upgrade to WAAS for the 530.

Thanks to everyone here on BeechTalk for all the good advice and discussion which has been very helpful to me.

Tony

Actually, the engine has 914 SFREMAN and only 215 hrs since complete tear-down with all new bearings, cam, etc (prop strike) by Ly-Con.

They replaced the engine early on due to metal contamination...

Tony got a really nice airplane. GNS 530, B&C alternator, standby pressure, Keith A/C, built-in 02, JPI w/ FF, etc. He has reason to be proud.

Congrats again Tony

Tony did in fact get a very nice F33A for the money and I can't wait for him to take me for a ride when he gets his PPL.

Kudos to PMC for all he does in helping new owners find and acquire the "right" aircraft

Hello Adam:

Welcome.

So you are an A&P assisting on the maintenance on the C35? Did I understand that correctly?

Paul

Paul,

Isn't this the plane that landed gear up about 8 or 9 years ago at DVT? How extensive was the belly damage? Just curious, what was the final price paid for the plane with a rebuilt engine and bottom repaired?

Tony,

Very nice plane.. has to be close to one of the last ones made. Assume you're going to continue your training for an IR when you get the PP?

You'll have fun....
