Hello BeachTalkers and Fellow Aviators,
My name is Tami - I am the owner of a Baron B55
When I was a little girl, my dad always had an airplane. He had a Super Cub, with high wings and big bouncy wheels for bush camping adventures.
He had a Pitts Special for his aerobatic stage. He flew air shows in Reno and Oshkosh, and Maybe you heard about the little yellow and black that flew under the Golden Gate?
After that he had a 4 place Bonanza for many trips to Mexico.
He kept his airplanes at the San Carlos airport and flew helicopters for the San Mateo sheriffs department aero squadron.
In 1991 he bought a 1968 95-B55. Of course the plane was not fabulous then… Over the years he loved it, painted it, had LyCon install new engines, a gift from Chevron, and installed new leather upholstery.
Dad loved to fly high and fast, and what a pilot! A few weeks ago, my dad fell asleep on the couch. He did not wake up. My dads name is Art Weinschenk. Maybe you have met him? He is quite unforgettable.
My name is Tami - I am the very proud owner of a fabulous B-55. I don’t fly. I am here, by invitation of one of your members, telling you my story with hope of getting help from your community.

Thank you Rich - I am Relatively new to all of this. Would I unsubscribe the topic and repost it?

Since this is a recent thread you should be able to edit your first post and change the title. Scroll up to the top of the thread and click the "EDIT" button in the lower right corner of your first post. When the editor opens click in the Subject box at the top of the post and re-type it. While your at it you should delete the second copy of your thread that was accidentally created when you clicked the SUBMIT button twice. Don't worry too much about that mistake, it happens a lot when the server gets slow but having two threads on the same subject means you'll need to check both and may see similar responses on each thread from members who didn't notice the duplicate thread. To delete a post click on the 'X' in the lower right above the QUOTE button. If you wait very long the X goes away and you can no longer remove the thread.

Welcome, and sorry about the loss of your Dad Tami. It sounds like a bit of an overwhelming shock. You came to a good place for guidance and recommendations.
There are no limits on the number of threads you start. I’d recommend a new one in PlaneTalk with a descriptive subject line. If you don’t even know where to start, don’t sweat the tag line and jump in. Multiple questions or even a rambling story is fine. You’ll get genuine help here.

I am sorry about the loss of your Dad. He sounds like he was an amazing man to know and a fun pilot and the "cool Dad."
