Former Grumman Tiger owner, taking a sizable step up. Under contract, and plane is in pre-buy / annual, and am hopeful to take possession mid-May if all goes well.
Retired US Army living in Tidewater, VA, and hoping to connect with other Baron owners in the area - would be great to say I have at least one flight in one before I do my pre-buy flight! Plus, would be great to swap experience and stories with local folks and stay connected to learn, train, etc... Please reach out if applicable.

He doesn't have a Baron himself but he may know someone in your area who does. You might be able to get him to introduce you to the nuances of Baron flying once you get yours. The free BPPP legacy Baron online training would be a very good place to start learning about flying a Baron as well. Yes on ABS. Completed the Baron BEST online, and the 'don't gear up...' and getting ready to start the IPC. Have reached out to two BPPP instructors locally in southern VA, but no one has a line on an available Baron yet. I have a possibility coming around through the A&P handling my prebuy, but it may not happen until my 'future' (crossed fingers) plane completes annual and prebuy. I'll look into Mr. Friedman as well - thanks for the ref.

The American Bonanza Society course is a must. Do that first.
