It remarkable how different they are.

Warning, do not go and fly a 700. they handle very precisely and loads of extra power they will fly with one windmilling and clean they climb 500FPM on one. unless you have your check book ready. A real pilots aircraft.
I compare a 700 to one of those big BMW sedans smooth very precise and while doing 300 on the autobhan very comfortable and handle very well.

I'm looking at a 700 next week.Admittedly I am also looking at a B55, which is closer to what I "need" (and it's OK to say that here on BT) and there are about 150 of them for sale... but the 700 looks like it's pretty perfect.

It's fun to hear approach tell the jet in front of you to keep their speed up... I'm glad I have had the opportunity to own and fly one. Jeff

My favorite was when I had the SS700 and ATC kept a King Air under me one day when they thought the KA was going to out run me shortly. 30 minutes later, I had a huge grin on my face when ATC finally gave them higher when he pointed out that I was so far ahead of them...

I test flew a Baron, then within a few weeks test flew an Aerostar 700 with Jim Christy. I even went back up on a really nice Baron.
Guess which one I bought

(before someone gets upset, it was a green-fonted joke)
The Cirrus is a fine airplane and they certainly know how to market.
