Hello everyone, my name is Steve Payne. I have loved flying since I was a young boy. I worked for Cessna, right out of high school, loved being around airplanes. Went to college, learned to fly, got my ticket in 1989. bought a Piper Cherokee and flew it everywhere. I put about 500 hours on it, had it parked on the ramp one night and some guy tried to commit suicide and drove his car through the gates of the airport and out of 9 planes on the ramp, he picked mine. Totaled the plane. I joined several flying clubs since then. Then life and work got in the way of flying. I have not flown an airplane in 20 years till last month. Started taking lessons with a local CFI. I am in the process of purchasing a 1963 V35 Bonanza. It is in pre-purchase now. I am using the Beechcraft Society Pre-buy checklist as a tool to check out the plane...Nice to be here and looking forward to learning all I can about these wonderful aircraft.
