Howdy from Carlsbad, CA. I am the proud new owner of a beautiful 1972 A36 - same vintage as I am! I was working with Neal Schwartz and looking since 2016 - obviously I wasn't in a hurry. I actually heard about this airplane back in 2017 but missed putting in an offer on her - the previous owner beat me to it. Finally she is mine! She's got a nice panel, a 550 and AC - can't ask for much more.
Thanks to Neal and the previous owner for a great transaction. Super lucky to have this plane, a relaxed flyer for a wife and a 1.5 year old that falls asleep on the takeoff roll. I'm based at CRQ. I see many Bonanzas on the field. Hit me up any time.

Hi,
Thanks for the compliments. Yes John I was parked on the transient ramp for a while. I now have a spot on the north ramp and I’m on the 6+ year phantom waiting list at various places for a hangar.
I was in the market for so long because my partner initially said yes to a plane but then she got prego and she said no way are we flying with my baby in any little airplane. That put me back about 2 years. I switched gears and I was going to buy a v tail or a 182 for myself. Then she came around and said yes to the A36! Neal is a patient man. So I think price wise that was about a 30% increase during that time. Oh well.

I think I've been admiring it when I go to CRQ to meet up with fellow Bonanza pilots for lunch there. CRQ is our home away from home. Is there a standing beech guys lunch meeting there?

That is great! I sure thought I took a while to find mine, but I have nothing on you!!! So I have to ask... what criteria where you looking for that too so long?!!? (A/C in a 12v, looks like some new nav antennas, so they stack is for sure newer than 1972.... what else? I have a 69, and club seating, a good UL, and 550 were all big things for me.... how'm I doin so far?!?!? What else) Beautiful, and clearly very special, bird!!!

Hi Tre,
Where to start! I was always looking for an A36 but the girlfriend now wife said no to flying when our little boy showed up on the ultrasound. That put me back at looking at 182's and v-tails to fly solo. I actually had a fellow BT'er check out a runout 182 for me but never pulled the trigger. I finally found this beauty when the wifey said yes to flying again. Our plane has a runout 550, a GTN 750, Aspen Pro 1000 and an old a$$ autopilot - perfect for me! Around 1,280 UL which is pretty sweet with the AC. We are very happy with her. Hopefully the 550 will run many more hours (she was topped 200 hours ago).
Our criteria were pretty similar - sounds like you scored a sweet ride too!
Nick

Nick Nick my first bonanza had a “run out” engine that I ran for another 400 hours till I sold it. Look up infant mortality of engines by mike bush. Get/ use engine monitor, do oil analysis and forget the marketing term call “TBO”!

Here are a few pics from the listing - sorry they're not that good. I can grab some more tomorrow.
Brock - I'm def a Mike Busch fan. As long as I'm not toasting the engine with the way I'm running it (LOP) I hope to get the same out of mine as you did yours!
