I had a 2004 4x4 that I sold to one of my sons at 200k miles and he ran it well more than 100k more. The 5.3 Chevy is bullet proof if you take reasonable care of it.

Tony,

Thank you.

Has the transmission ever been rebuilt?

Is this one still available Tony? Looking for an airport car for a hangar hotel idea.

What caused the engine to have to be replaced at 180,000?

180,000 miles or roughly 6000 hours of use. Amazing questions. 30 years ago 100k on an engine was unheard of.

I have the same engine in a Yukon and have 302,000 on it. Runs like the day I bought it. No major work done to it except normal stuff like alternator, spark plugs, water pump, and fan clutch.
