For multiple reasons, I've been considering selling my awesome 1977 Baron E55. I've installed the full Garmin package and a Kelly Aerospace Thermacool air conditioner. Not sure if there is a market for my Baron. Located in Fort Worth, TX (KFWS)
TT Total time 3411 Left engine IO-520-CB 312 SMOH Right engine IO-520-CB 1713 SMOH Left prop Hartzell PHC-C3YF-2UF 750 SMOH Right prop Hartzell PHC-C3YF-2UF 750 SMOH 166 gal interconnected tanks (no tank switching) 1,607 lbs useful load All electric. No vacuum system. No damage history. No corrosion. Paint=9, Interior=7
Pros: Garmin- G500TXi, EIS, GI-275 backup, GFC-600 autopilot, GTN 750/650, remote audio and transponder (GMA, 35R, GTX 35R), Flightstream 510, GDL 69A, GWX 68 radar. SRS one piece panel. Alpha AOA with Valkyrie HUD. Kelly Aerospace Thermacool electric A/C. CiES fuel senders. LED lights, door stewards, Rosen visors, G&D tint inserts, retractable cup holders, lots more.
Cons: Right engine at TBO. It is running great, burns 1/2 a quart in 40 hours, oil analysis is good. I plan to keep running it until I get warning signs. It runs great LOP.
Neutral: No boots. I'm in Texas and I wanted a Baron without boots. I simply didn't want to drag them around all the time and wanted more useful load. I know some people absolutely want them.
I could tell you all how much I have in the plane, but I'm sure you already know. So, I was thinking of taking a bath on it at $300k as-is or approximately $345k with overhauled right engine.
Just throwing it out there to see if there is someone who is Baron shopping and understands the amount they would be saving buying a plane with all this already done.
PM me, call me 817-905-1298, or email baron55hd at gmail dot com if interested.
