Still waiting to hear from someone who owns and flies a Vision Jet. A couple Vision Jets fly from my home airfield: Hillsboro, OR. One owner frequently flies Angel Flights in his. Operating expenses should be lower than a twin jet, range is similar to high performance piston singles e.g. Malibu, and to those old rope-start Citations. That seems sufficient for most owner-flown private jets. I bet they are fun to fly!
Even without any unhelpful and emotionally triggering argument for the parachute, it seems like a nice airplane that fits a niche nicely. Good for Cirrus bringing the airplane to market and selling a ton of them.

Regarding cabin noise.
This story was told to me by someone that was there.
When testing, the FAA representative flying in the Vision Jet was so overcome by the cabin noise she went to the hospital after after flight. She then took a medical leave of absence for traumatic reasons. Kinda something along the lines of PTSD.
My source tells me his company was immediately charged with designed an acoustic system to reduce noise.
Apparently the inlet 'whine' from air entering the engine was unbearable.

The first one will be VERY interesting. It may be several years before it happens. Why? Better trained pilots due to type rating and 61.58 recurrency. It isn't clear the SF-50 chute will ever save a life. It is hard to find any jet accident where a chute makes a difference. Mike C.

Not slow, not low, and not short.
Here's one of several flying today, this one from Key West to Atlanta:

Another one from Colorado to Texas:

My friend uses his to go from South Florida to New Jersey on a regular basis. It's also economical enough to go from Fort Lauderdale to Key West without breaking the bank. There isn't any other jet that versatile, at that price point. And not 40 years old either.

Looks like pretty nice flying to me.

Engine failure shortly after takeoff.
I wonder if the SF50 out climbs it’s glide like a TBM or PC12.

Mike C.
I know several fighter pilots who would beg to differ
