Haven't posted in a while - been super busy...

Thinking about getting an R66 (or maybe an R44). I used to own an R44 and 206 15 years ago, and stopped flying them since the kids were young and just didn't have the time. We are doing some rotorcraft products at SierraTrax so it makes sense for me to get back into it so I can understand the requirements better and refine the tracking and other products....

So - the Robinson market looks crazy right now - is it? Any advice on who to talk to on finding a decent machine at a reasonable price (not trying to lowball, but don't want to pay inflated prices).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

And I will start returning to my BT haunts soon...

Jason, great to have you back. Hangen has a 66, loves it. I'm sure he'll be along shortly.
I was also looking into them for out here in the mountains. Prices are crazy at the moment.

He and I have been talking a bit - he is really to blame for this. The question is are they too crazy!

I bought a low time 44 exactly a year ago and I’m not sure I could replace it today for what I paid. My partner bought a similarly low time 66 in November for almost double and I haven’t seen any of these slightly under 600k deals since then. There’s just nothing out there. The 44 does everything I need it to do but if you need to legitimately take 4 people then the 66 is the way to go. Feel free to reach out to either of us if you want to fly them both side by side and make a decision. You can’t go wrong with either machine. I’m no expert by any stretch but have about 200 hours in the 44 and 35 in the 66.
