Bump [/b]Technoavia SP-91 (same design as Interavia E-3) Russian advanced aerobatic trainer This was designed late in the Soviet period for use specifically as an high performance trainer in the DOSSAF flying club system (the stalwart, all purpose, Yak 52, A relative dog, having been previously used for the purpose), with the most promising pilots graduating to the Sukhoi 29 two place competition A/C, too expensive and fragile by comparison to the SP-91. The designer was Sergei Yesahan, who also designed all of the Sukhoi aerobatic airplanes which established a winning dynasty at the WAC in the eighties and nineties. The design was finished just as the USSR collapsed. Initial market optimism led to production at two sites in Russia, with planned sales worldwide. Recession led to market failure and only several dozen were built.
My A/C was purchased new in 1995,and shipped directly to the buyer in FL. The buyer only flew it perhaps ten times, before he went on to "hydraulic lock" the engine, bending the #5 link connecting rod. The A/C sat in his hangar until I bought it from his widow in 2012, and installed a spare M14-P engine I had. The A/C is sometimes called "the Aluminum Sukhoi 29" because of it's lineage and appearance but it is heavier, more rugged and has less vertical performance. Roll rate of 330 degrees per second. It also has drooping, cockpit controllable (-1,0,3,6,9 degree) ailerons and is convertible to a single place plane by decking over the front cockpit and use of a single place canopy.
This is a very serious, mil-spec A/C equipped for aerobatics. It has maximum limit loads in the single place version of +11g and -10g and has redundant wing structure with multiple spars. It is easy to fly and capable of using short, poorly prepared, fields. It is used for glider towing and touring in Europe and may have an European type certificate (experimental exhibition in USA).
The engine has had the commonplace auto spark plug conversion kit and also Barrett hi compression Pistons and rings yielding ~380hp. N917SP SP-91 SN 02-03 AF ~ 165 hrs. TT, Engine 970 since new, 30 since top OH and Pistons Propeller. MT 3 ~ 215 SFOH Fresh condition Inspection March 2021 Compression test all higher than 70/80 B&C alternator 10 amps. American altimeters (in feet) Air compressor removed (service with approx 500 psi air externally before each start) Factory disc brakes, rudder pedal activated Push to talk inter phone with separate radio button Five point aerobatic harnesses Can be flown from either cockpit Baggage compartment aft of rear seat Excellent Russian 720 ch radio (front) can be moved aft for 1 place config. No lights or transponder Tool kit, 3 tow bars, 100 liter ferry tank designed to fit rear seat, air servicing equipment, spares including 4 new main tires, single canopy and deck, extensive paperwork and design documents Intake manifold quick drain Paint fair. Always hangared since 1995. A few small dents in skin of no structural significance (shipping rash) Canopy plexiglass clear but not without areas of some minor visual distortion (not up to American quality standards)
Selling due to medical. $78,000 OBO.

That is cool.
What is the fuel capacity without the removable tank? Is the start air provided by a SCUBA bottle externally or can you mount the air tank to the plane?
