It’s a terrible airplane. Poorly engineered. There’s one at my field that has been a structural mess

Good airplane as long as it's equipped with the engine it was designed for. Many people always think more HP is better and the extra weight is the issue as the previous poster mentioned.

I've seen a few damaged ones where the heavier engine causes rivits to literally shear along several structural members.

The one on the field has 180HP. Low time and lots of pulled rivets, bent landing gear structures, etc. I think I'd rather have a Glastar if I was in this market.

I once wanted a Murphy airplane. I sited the factory in BC and talked to builders. To many told me the same thing....don’t get one.

I have about 20 hours in one - I don’t recommend it. Don’t like the way it flew or the ground handling.
