Thank you, Gilles, i will check those two out. I am looking for someone with experience on simple fabric floatplanes but hopefully they do. Merci! BWH

Bruce, CNC3 is a little farther West but has a very good AMO that is currently is working on a Citabria and can probably fit you in soon.
What direction are arriving from?

Paul: I need mechanic to travel to plane. It’s on grass strip in Saint Ours just a few miles north of Montreal. It’s in a hangar on floats next to a frozen river. How far away is this guy? Citabria experience is spot-on. Thanks, Bruce

Bruce, I assumed it was flyable (wheels) and was flying now. The FBO and what we call here an AMO (Approved Maintenance Organization) is at CNC3 and wouldn't be available to travel there anytime soon. They do some remote work but wouldnt be doable until better weather at the earliest.
I'll keep my ear to the ground for you though.
How soon does your deal close? and when do you have to get it out of there?

I have 3 weeks to complete the inspection, airplane can be started up but not flown. Saint Ours looks to be about 25 miles north of Montreal CYUL. Thanks for your help, still trying to figure this out. Delivery would not be until April when the ice melts. Regards, BWH

Hello, I could recommend Aviamax in Beloeil wich is a 25 minutes drive from Saint-Ours. Their number is (450) 446-2570 The owner Eric Landry is a great guy and very knowledgeable on floatplanes and fabric aircraft. if not another really good shop is Aviation BL in Saint-Mathias, they are most know for their prop shop but their A&P are also specialized in float planes and fabric. They are Also allowed to workon american aircraft so maybe can help for export CoA. (450) 658-2041
Those are the two that comes to mind in that area!

Thanks for all-of your help and suggestions. I chose not to use Eric Landry/Aviamax because he maintained the plan for the prior owner but it is good to know he is so well regarded. I am having it done on Monday by Hydravion who has their own float operation. It is nice to have such a supportive community at BeechTalk! Thanks to all who responded. Bruce Hilyer
