GoGo Internet. The time passes so fast you will feel like you are flying at 700 knots/ Serious game changer Amusingly, I have it the other way around - the Internet is my job and flying is my distraction. To be fair, one time I was sitting in a friend's Cirrus watching it fly itself and I was so bored I almost started playing a flight sim game on my phone, so I get it.

Then you want to slow down. Maintain the blissful distraction!

Did the multi in aircraft during type check ride. I see you have the avidyne set up. I had quite a bit of time behind the g1000 so it helped tremendously during the transition, but you will still be fine. Your not gonna miss slugging along IMC at 28k, I promise you that.[/quote] FWIW - I did my C510S type in December 2020 and could not find a DPE who would let me do the multi ride in the mustang. I had to do two checkrides - first the multi in a DA42 and then the Mustang type back to back. Long day... (especially since it was an hour’s Mustang flight from home to the DPE and then back that night)

Not sure if the next production version will make this standard. I'm 6'1" and fit great in the 100. My 6'-5" friend does not; I think the SB would resolve the issue.
That is very interesting - when looking at the cockpit last week it seemed like such an easy fix to remove those shelves and gain a crucial extra couple of inches. Didn't know there was a patch forward legally and not having to use a sawzall. Chip-

That'll chop an hour off every flight and probably more if you count the increased productivity that comes from the peace of mind. 75k might be a bit tight with initial/recurrent and hotels on the road, but it's not too far off the mark, and a hell of a speed mod! -J

These oscillations were not divergent, and when airplane speed was reduced and the airplane was flown at an altitude below 30,000 feet, the oscillations ceased. Investigation of these incidents revealed missing aileron bushings, low cable tensions, and improperly installed brackets. After the operators corrected the airplanes to the type design configuration, as defined per the existing maintenance manuals, the oscillations did not recur.

But third party companies have started doing it cheaper now. 100 also has a lav, more room in the back seats. Not sure about cockpit space, 100 is a bit tight for taller folks. Sketchy braking as well on the 100. 60 kts faster, no minimum hours for programs either.
Chip- For what its worth a recent estimate for the 10 year inspection from a factory authorized center is "around $235,000 and two months down time". That's $23,500 per year to cover that one inspection .

At that price I’m guessing for both and to have the factory SC do the gear.

The landing gear at 10Y's is the majority of the expense; very expensive but there is no other maintenance required during the preceding 10 years. There are now two alternatives to the Embraer/WestStar, one of which does the O/H for a fixed 125K. My overhaul was covered by Embraer parts program. The 10Y maintenance on my Phenom was $125K; so the $250K cost is pretty accurate. Crazy hobby! FWIW the gear on my new-to-me Phenom 300 was $125K plus $100K of additional work.

Chip- Chip is correct - the quote was for the 10 year airframe and gear overhaul.
