I felt he was a few knots too fast and let it float too much. Get the wheels on the ground. There are a few small jets that can do the same. I saw a Citation V that was used for 10,000+ hours in Alaska to service radar systems. Had gravel kit with nose wheel spin up device and reinforced flap panels. Landed all the time on snow and ice, too, something that is dicey for planes without reversers. Few are going to use the turf runway feature. Most business jet insurance policies prohibit use of anything other than hard surface paved runways. So if you want to risk your $11M jet, and the liability of flying it, all on your own, go ahead. It is like those who buy Range Rovers and never get them dirty. Mike C.

There are some folks in Cascade ID that are looking carefully at those images and thinking that this may be a great addition to the fleet... and park it by the lake... They may need to paint it red to it is a little more flashy. Didn’t really look on the edge at all to me. Especially with the landing. That also wasn’t a short field for the 24. I am regularly landing and stopping it in 1500-1800 feet. We are doing touch and go’s on 2800ft in training. The plane will float unless your ref -5 over the threshold. It’s really the most unique Jet I’ve flown out of the 11 jets I’m typed on. Closest thing to my Supercub in the jet world and would give my King Air a run for its money on STOL performance.

This was a fly in day at "The Vale" in Tasmania Australia. You know that little bit that sometimes gets left off the map. The Vale is owned by Simon Hackett a very wealthy businessman from South Australia. Simon flies a PC12 himself and probably has a 24 on order.
