That’s scary bad. Even if he gets the weight down, it will be a dog with 2 people and 5 hours of fuel. He needs more power/thrust than he is getting out of that engine/drive/prop setup.

But he hasn't "dialed in" the pressurization yet. That'll really change things.

If he’s gonna flying it to CA, all those fuel stops are really gonna slow progress across the country. Perhaps he needs active winglets?
