Go wrong? Go wrong? Don’t forget they built and flew an R/C model first. If that didn’t stall, surely this one won’t either.

You just sit there until it hits the ground. The good news is that since there very little forward motion, the parts are easy to find.

Guys, it is Christmas eve. I am wishing all of you the best going into the new year. Especially Peter. Suggest you lay off and do the same. Would be good for your karma and maybe his too.

If he would only listen to some of the “critics” offering advice and pointing out concerns, it might save his life and also help him get a better result quicker. I don’t see that as being in conflict with the holiday spirit at all.

Seems like a lot of ridicule and not a lot of constructive criticism. He may have built a lead sled, but he did what few of you here have done. Design , build and fly a heavier than air machine.

Design , build and fly a heavier than air machine. I don't think the ridicule started in earnest until it became clear that he was ignoring some very good constructive criticism and outright helpful input, and was doing some seriously odd stuff. It's been a devolution over time to what it's become today. Personally I wouldn't waste time offering any more advice to someone who clearly does not want any. Any input to this thread from me will be more in the vein of "you must be kidding" or "what the heck is he thinking?" and is intended for the local audience. I don't post anything on Peter's videos, and do wish him well. I respect his accomplishments so far. My only disappointment is that he could have a shot at a good design if only...

Exactly this. He has ignored both free and professional help that could have greatly helped.

From the video's it looks like you still have lots of hurdles to overcome. Stability issues, the speed is not even remotely impressive, cooling etc etc etc. The good news is 2021 is just around the corner and we will continue to watch with great anticipation as we all take another trip around the sun. Welcome back Peter.
