They can definitely carry a lot of stuff. The attached photo is our trip out East when we took my daughter to college. 5 people and all that stuff. And we did have the Aux tank. My prior Aerostar was a 601-P and it didn’t have the aux tank. I could fit whole road bikes (wheels and seat posts off) standing up in back.

Most people seem to leave two front seats and the bench seat in the plane. The bench will slide up to the mid-row and leave a ton of space behind it for baggage.

I would think golf clubs would fit well back there - but have not tried.

You can leave the two mid-row individuals in as well, and move them individually.

I can fit 3 lightweight golf bags plus luggage in it

Or a twin Beech... To prevent the possibility of cargo shifting in flight it's always advisable to stuff you plane so full of crap, nothing, including occupants can move.

I transported a 3 blade CATTO carbon fiber prop in the Aerostar (I fod'd my breezy)
I flew it back to Cato to get it fixed.
It fit with like 1/4" clearance... diagonally in the cabin.

It was really light (<15lbs) so I was not too concerned about damaging things...

... and I've managed to get TWO 6 Ton jack stands through the door and secured with the rear bench still in place .

That's one of the advantages of the low cabin door : much easier to load heavy objects !

The Harley tends to make my plane a little tail heavy...

That’s no normal Twin Beech, though.

I had to use the cockpit door on her and her sisters a bunch of times. It is a big step up to the wing!

Proud new owner of an Aerostar, just completed my transition training and can't wait to experience all the amazing capabilities of this plane.

This thread helped me to choose the A*

Sweet Mark!

May you safely burn tens of thousands of gallons of Avgas and smile at every fill up

How do you get 2120 pounds useful in any Aerostar? Are the wings helium filled?
