Hi all!
It seems a new bug has struck. A friend sent me up with his instructor yesterday in his F28F. Turns out it felt pretty good to fly! This was an experience I never got from flying the R-22.
Anyone here happen to be a wealth of information on Enstrom’s that could give me some pros and cons to these ships?
Mat

I flew on one a few times with a local sheriff back in the early 91 when I was dropping my W.O.C. packet and understand the excitement of the F28 Enstrom! Dan got wind and took me up a few times. He crashed two of them and walked away each time. It was a great helicopter and seemed to have plenty of power for 2 of us in a piston bird.

Mat I approve this message! Airplanes are somewhat boring compared to helicopters. Come fly my R44 before you make a decision. The 2 blade system fits better in a hangar and the air conditioner is amazing.

Lots of rotor-inertia, auto-rotations are a non-event.
3-blades - more difficult to hangar and takes a lot of skill (and possibly luck) to track/balance well.
I was VERY close to buying a 280FX before I stumbled upon my '47. 47?

I was VERY close to buying a 280FX before I stumbled upon my '47. 47? This could be an age related issue... #MASH?

Mat I’ve never heard a single negative thing about them.
