Icarus Instruments is now shipping its newest iPad mounting system for all Bonanzas and Barons that have the "clock" type yoke design. It comes pre-assembled and installs in minutes.

The ClearView Mounting system allows you to set the perfect sight line to any size iPad and the aircraft’s panel. It is compatible with all models of Bonanzas and Barons that have the clock style yoke. An upgrade for the Angerole yoke mount is also available.

• Securely holds any size iPad using the provided L clips

• Allows use of protective folios or cases while in the mount

• Allows adjustment of the iPad’s position to optimize your sight line to the panel and the iPad

• Degrees of freedom include tilt fore/aft and left right, rotate 360 degrees, adjust height, and adjust lateral position left/right. These are all in-flight adjustable without any tools.

• The holder allows easy access to all iPad buttons and provides a large exposed area to facilitate cooling.

• The ClearView Angerole upgrade replaces your existing iPad holder with the ClearView holder and position adjustment mechanism. The existing yoke plate is retained.

• Over 600 of these mounts have been installed in turbine aircraft.

The 6” height adjustment is used to place the iPad in the optimum position for viewing the panel and the iPad’s screen. In addition, the iPad can be rotated 180 degrees to temporarily set it higher during cruise flight when full access to the panel may not be needed. A quick 180 degree flip restores the normal sight line.

The iPad is placed into the holder by positioning the bottom of the iPad into the lower L brackets and pressing down to extend the spring loaded mechanism. Then you rotate the iPad beneath the upper L brackets. Removal is equally simple and quick. iPads with protective folios (with and without keyboards) can be placed in the holder.

Some photos have been posted below of both the full system and the upgrade to the Angerole yoke mount.

These mounts are shipping from stock. The full mounting system is $169 and the upgrade is $119 plus USPS Priority mail shipping for $12 . 30 day money back guarantee. For more details visit http://www.clearviewmounts.com

Looks cool. I wish I could see a video review of this product in a plane. For me these mounts always look and sound good on the internet. Then I install them and find them to not be as desirable. I have probably spend north of $500 dollars on mounts over the years and my iPad sits in my lap or on the seat next to me. If anyone has one of these and has some pictures or video of the unit installed that would be awesome.

Hi Pete

I will get post photos of this mount installed on an A36. Does your Bonanza have the "clock"
yoke with the plate (or clock) with a curved top and bottom and straight sides?

Hey Pete,

Can you show detailed pictures of how this mounts to the Angerole yoke plate and the total amount for this type of set up. Also will this mount with a Cygnet yoke plate. I have a dual yoke set up in my plane.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe

Thanks for your inquiry. The third photo in the first post shows a view with the Angerole yoke plate. Notice the two screw heads on the upper left side of the plate. These screws attach the Icarus iPad holder positioning mechanism to the plate using two tapped holes that are part of that plate. The Angerole upgrade that includes the positioning mechanism and the iPad holder is $119.

The full Icarus yoke mounting system is 100% compatible with the Cygnet yoke. It includes a new custom yoke plate, a mounting bar for attaching the plate to the Cygnet yoke, the positioning mechanism, and the iPad holder. This costs $169.

Both products are in stock for immediate shipment. We have a 30 day full refund (including shipping both ways) if you are not satisfied with our mounts.

Hi All

Here is a photo of the Icarus iPad yoke mount in an A36. It is in a low position.
But it can actually be set to be even lower. The sight line can be set to fully see your panel and your iPad.

Looks like a great product.

Glad to see you back at it in our sector, Steve.

I still miss my SAM. Great product!

Steve,
What is the cost of the positioning mechanism and the Ipad holder as seen in the last picture? I have the Angerole faceplate.

Just installed mine using the existing Angerole mount it took all of three minutes. It seems extremely adjustable will report back with flight test.

Hi Steve

The Icarus Beechcraft iPad mount supports every size iPad ever made. You can also leave a protective folio or case on your iPad and put the combination into the holder in about 2 seconds.

it was a bear!! to install. my yoke has a map light in it, which blocked the metal bar used to mount the face plate. I flew with it yesterday. seems pretty good
it holds the Ipad mini better than the ram mount. not as much stress on the lower corners
i think i will like it

Hi Bill

Sorry you had some issues with the installation. The internal map light is fairly unusual in the Beech yokes and it certainly isn't needed if you have an iPad in front of you. The map light can be easily removed to make more room for the internal support bar. The normal installation time is only a few minutes

Thanks for your persistence. Enjoy your new ClearView iPad mount in your Bonanza.

Regards,
Steve Silverman
