Recent redo for a Cessna 182. Owner already had the gray hides. He selected the 2 tone, saddle color hide. Nice improvement to a dated interior.

Good observation. I reformed them and made a pattern of 6 individually sewn pieces, ensuring all was aligned with the seat back. It helps being a pilot when doing this kind of work. Foam is from aero flex with varying densities.

Any design is possible. All is 100% legal. ONLY use material that come with FAA certs of conformance. Always recommend that these certs stay with the airframe book.
Kinda of a hobby bsns for me-retired military and a parachute rigger-lots of time behind a sewing machine.

Seats are fm a 1973 C182P. Liked the way the rear seat folded flat-very useful

Howard, What is the brown material I see in the picture around the frame of each seat? Is it like a cotton with a hardened glue and used to fasten the foam too ?
I have the same seats in my C182 and looking for exactly the same refurb. unfortunately I'm too far away from you to give you another project.

Sorry Paul was off the net a bit, some flight came up on my corporate flying gig. Material on the seat bottoms is leather used to attach onto the frame.
