Not an Air Cam, but a LSA inspired by the Air Cam. A tad more practical for those of us in snow country.

Finished ground school and flight training last week.

Still some minor squawks to tighten up, but should take possession next week.

The Captain Mrs. Gilbert on her first flight training hop in our new (to us) AirCam.

Hey Butch,
Glad to see it nearing completion. These projects take time. Have you seen the really green/black/ silver aircam there? That’s mine! I’ll be there next Monday to take a look at the finished paint job. I’ll look for your plane while there.

Tom

Hope to see you there!

Finally brought home N2322X to KTPF today from Sebring.

She is running hot, straight and normal. Very smooth in flight. 4500 RPM gives speed just below the yellow arc at 85 mph, at about 4 gallons/hour.

Really like the Dynon flat panel display. The radio is loud and clear, transponder and ADSB equipped.

Those Rotax engines once warmed up can really jump off the ground and they hot start on one blade.

Very windy in the back but looking into a polycarbonate windscreen for the back seat. Should help some.

Giving rides in my Breezy has been the most fun aviation interaction with others I've ever had. (I have a breezy because I couldn't afford an aircam.)

Give lots of rides...
Nice wings! Alum. or wood spars?

Aluminum wing frames.

New painted sleeve wings and gap seals.

There's an Aircam flying at Tripple Tree with a new wing design... Polyfiber fabric, aluminum L.E, slotted flap and conventional ribs. Several are under construction with the new wing. This Aircam was featured in Sport Aviation some time back.

You trying to deceive us with that UL by carrying around that cruise ship?

A little over gross, but within balance!

If that question was for me and my Breezy, aluminum spar.

Keep posting! This airplane has my interest. Would be a great airplane for a small group of pilots to go in together.

Thanks Tom.

Just completed a rear seat enclosure.

The most interesting thing is the landing attitude. Once the wheels touch (on a wheel landing) you push the stick aggressively forward to get the wing in a slightly negative AOA to glue the tires to the runway.

I’m really liking the AirCam, and getting used to the Rotax engines.

They would sell a ton of these if they weren’t so expensive. I can’t figure out their pricing strategy. Awesome bird for fun flying.
