Chip- Yes, certified version E1000 is FIKI certified. Includes boots, heated prop, pitot and windscreen. Also the heated diverter inlet butterfly used in many PT6's.
So it is certified FIKI now, or will be? Has Epic shared with you the final certified performance numbers and weights?

That’s really fantastic news. Also a good move by Epic to seek certification that includes FIKI right out of the gate. Many would have been tempted to address FIKI later but that’s not the right thing to do given the operating environment of such a capable TP. Of note to those who wonder what the differences are between certified and experimental birds, not that there were more than one structural failures in cert testing, including a door failure in pressurization testing and a wing structural failure during testing. Rigorous cert testing is going to highlight deficiencies in the experimental designs that would otherwise go undiscovered. It would be interesting to see a detailed list of all the changes that were made to the experimental design to the certified design. My bet is that they are very numerous. Congrats to the folks at Epic! What a monstrous achievement.

I don't have an exact write up of differences, so don't hold me to this, but I've caught some tidbits over time. Most items came from crash safety. Some examples: passing the 9g landing load test, trinkets for containing fuel tank slosh during crash landing/deceleration. I think a lot of the stress test items on the wings were done with spars and everything very close to what is on the LTs.
The cabin door was a fun one to see, but I think it blew well north of 10 psi. Crazy thing is that the pressure vessel at the end of testing is okay up to over 18psi

Pretty exciting times in the SETP market with all the new and improved aircraft out there. Congrats to Epic and to Michael for getting in line! Its a very sexy airplane - great ergonomics and seems very comfortable both up front and in back. I also heard they have over 80 deposits when I visited them at OSH. They got pretty friendly once they heard I flew an M600 (as did the Denali people)... . Not sure it's worth $1 mm for a sideways trade for our M600 but there sure are a lot of great choices now in the $3 mm price range ...

Would really like to see the final specs and what is actual speed at FL340 as the -67A is losing a lot of performance at this altitude.
