Hi Gang,
My partner and I just purchased a M35 with IO-550B and are looking forward to finally getting it to KLVN, just south of the Twin Cities to clean it up, do some maintenance on it and get me comfortable in it. My Partner is an instructor so it should make it a bit easier. I do have a RV4 so would this be considered heavy metal?

Welcome to BT, John.

You're new, so your sin is forgiven, but this you must know...

Congrats!

Where will you keep her at KLVN?

We are on LIMA lane hangar 40G (Blue one on the north end), sadly not out there real often this time of year but feel free to swing by and say hi. Beer is always cold for after flying (water on stock for before)

Steve

It will be at B20, second one in and second row from the pumps. Right now, the plane is down in Iowa and once we find another phc-l3yf-1rf/f8068 prop for it, or one that it will accept, it will probably end up there. That will give the hanger manager time to get one or two other planes(annuals) out to free up space. I hope to head out today to do some pattern work in the 4. Pictures when it gets up here.

Congrats and welcome John! Have you ever made it down to Third Thursday at KMCW? Usually a few BeechTalkers there.

I had an RV-4 with an O-360 and a constant speed prop when I bought my Bonanza. I kept reading what a hot rod the Bonanzas were but was underwhelmed performance wise other than cruise. My wife had started flying with me more and I was feeling guilty shoehorning her in the back so I wanted about the same speed but more comfort. You're transition to the Bonanza will be easy, I still remember my flight home from California I kept reminding my self to put the gear down, by far my biggest concern...
