Never seemed to me that the flap handle and trim wheel interfered with each other. I always thought they were perfectly located.

You must have a crook in your arm!
Minor issue though.

If your trim wheel fails add some flaps and reduce power. It happened to me.

Mark, just curious re night landings. I have plenty of time at night, but none in the 180, or any tail dragger. Do you wheel it on to maintain better sight of the runway lights?
Cheers Rich

Cheers Rich Funny you ask. I turned final and thought hmmm...this is a first. Do I wheel it or three point it? Seriously. I wheeled it. Might have been the best landing ever. That said, every landing in a Wagon is your first landing. All my other night work and been on amphibs

The right call I think. Maybe some others will give their opinions. My home runway is narrow, no vasi/papi and the bare minimum of lighting. I figure wheeling it will give me the best chance of keeping it straight.

Flew it all the way to the chalks. As always

Mark, If your best Skywagon landing was your first night landing, I think that, from now on, I'm just going to shut my eyes on short final. Jg

The thumbnail feature hasn’t worked for me in weeks. Any thoughts?

Made that trip many times in the Skywagon (KBJC to KDVT, almost identical). Over Wolf Creek Pass, then follow the power line to Phoenix Beautiful country.
