Looks like a post production test flight to me. May be restricted to Moses Lake area due to grounding but usually any engineering test flight are done out of Boeing Field. Renton does not get involved in post production mods. They have no room to park or accommodate the aircraft they have on the ground there now. Probably the same at Boeing Field so perhaps they will be parking some in Moses Lake until they can resume delivery. Boeing uses same tail number for most aircraft coming off the line so don’t get excited if you see it pop up, it could be any number of different aircraft.
The aircraft rolling out of Renton on their first flight are on a Production Certificate. Standard Airworthiness is not issued until after customer flight(s) and acceptance.
