Also - note the “550” has electric flaps vs the 560 you referenced. And with severe engine damage, there won't be any core rotation.

I remember another case in the sim where motoring the eng gave us the hyd back was L eng failed and right hyd pump failed. Motoring the L eng gave us the hyd for gear and flaps. We landed with flaps 15 in case of a GA. Eng did not have severe damage or N1 or N2 seizure.

The N's represent different shafts, and the logic is that N1 is the slowest. (N being rpm in %age from rated, 1 being shaft 1, and by common logic 1 is the slowest one).

I always thought they were named from the front of the engine to the back. JT-15 Fan is first so it gets N1. GE CF-700 has the fan on the back of the engine. On it N1 is turbine and N2 is fan. Attachment: Fig1-4-Aft-Fan-TFEcourtesy-of-GE-CF700.png

Just curious. Also, the igniters on the Mustang are FADEC controlled, so you don’t need to turn them on/off. Just one more thing you don’t have worry about in the Mustang. Nice to see you enjoying it.

Don’t recollect Clint. Re igniters- habit. Love the little beast.

Mark - Nice video! I would suggest you try climbing in pitch mode - think you'll find it works much better. Down low and light 7.5 degrees and as the speed starts to decay (around 170 KIAS) 5 degrees. I don't use VS in the climb and FLC hunts, so I don't use it either.

Does the Mustang G1000/GFC700 have envelope protection? Meaning, in pitch hold if power levers come back or speed decays excessively due to distraction, will the airplane pitch down to avoid a stall?

Great video from our humble navigator. Thanks Mark. For those interested there’s quite the fan club over in the CJP community. Everyday I wait for the mission that says the Mustang is the one. Hard to beat the economics unless you go legacy, and even then it’s debatable.

Things you don’t want to find on a customs ramp. I kid you not. Strangest FOD ever. And no I did not touch it.
