Dropped off my 88 Malibu this afternoon at Lancaster Aero for its new paint job. They will also be hanging a new Factory Reman engine. I'll post progress pics as they become available. Already feels weird looking at an empty hanger. Hopefully the project will be completed by early March.

Still in the process of finalizing the design. Should be done by next week and I'll post.

Marc, you're absolutely right, but there is a high demand for the '88s as this was the last year with the Continental 550-c engine. I plan on moving up to a Jetprop at some point in the near future.

Best advise is make sure you get quotes / approvals for any additional work not in your quote. Keep control over it.

Nothing worse then competing a project and having a bad feeling about it all if things don’t go as planned. It’s not fun

I don’t know anything about the shop you are using so don’t take it that way.

Paid a visit today to get an update and see the progress. Plane is naked and will go into paint next week. Still waiting on the factory Reman engine from Continental, ordered eight weeks ago. Hoping this will not delay the project.
