That’s a personal attack Mike.

I disagree.

Your statement that an SF50 training is 50% of a twin jet is delusional.

That is no comment on your person or character, but you are deluded in that assessment.

It is almost as if someone in this thread is being paid by Cirrus to help destroy every single single opposition that someone may come up with to buy an SF50.

Opposition in this thread?

or

Opposition in the real world?

There is no opposition in the real world. The SF50 is outselling all other single pilot planes except the PC12.

same pros & cons are going on in the other euro vision thread,

some of the latest comments there

I am still not convinced the Cirrus Jet is superior to a pre owned Cessna 510. Not much price difference, two engines, FL410, faster…

----

Same as you Sebastian. Not convinced at all with the Cirrus Jet…
I saw and sat in one in Le Bourget but not really convinced about it.

One of my owner recently bought a nice pre owed Mustang with full maintenance program for less than Cirrus is asking for. Airplane is nicer, bigger, twin engine and also really easy to fly…

You flew a single engine piston that had a flight engineer?

I'm not convinced at all with the new Toyota Corolla. One of my friends just bought a nice pre owned Mercedes with an after market warranty for less than the Toyota. The Merc is bigger, faster, more luxurious. These people buying new Toyota's are fools.

I have flown the SF50. It is dirt simple to fly and designed from the ground up to be single pilot friendly.

So is a Mustang, Eclipse, Phenom 100, etc. The second engine makes it simpler, in fact.

Flying isn't about how easy it is when everything works, it is about how hard it is when something doesn't work.

They sell a lifestyle.

A "lifestyle" isn't about hard training. Could explain why the accident rate wasn't so good at the start. It improved when, shockingly, the training got more intense.

Quote:
Cirrus brings that same philosophy to their training and so it is much more approachable and much less intimidating than Flight Safety or Simcom without lessening the quality of the training.

I prefer training that is philosophically honest about the challenges and difficulties in flying an airplane than one that is trying to maintain a brand image. That's a fundamental conflict of interest.

Mike C.

most of the back & forth comes down to preferences,

doesn't get any better than hearing both sides of the story for new folks

I would say that 50% of the Sim time is on one engine, training and even the check ride. Maybe it’s 43.6%...

My statement was about it being simpler to fly then a twin and defending SF50 buyers who are not bad pilots.

In the single, it is super complex what to do when an engine fails. It would take thousands of words to describe the decision matrix and actions required based on the circumstances.

A decision matrix....

I thought that SF50 was for pilots who can’t fly, now they have to be super human. Let’s not talk about the chute in the decision matrix.

Andrew.

And, he/she is obviously a proud SF50 owner.....not fretting about the number of engines, the range, the speed at 31,000 feet, etc.

If knowing something was a requirement to post to this thread, we'd still be on page 1. :duck:

Yep exactly. Good on them.

Cirrus has developed a loyal following which is a great thing to see in aviation. Kind of like an apple / Tesla thing.
