Running my son and his friends to the beach then jumping around seeing family for the holidays. Tomorrow I’ll head to S Florida to meet up with friends.

Atlanta is an anomaly in aviation. It’s close to a lot unless you’re flying to the Rockies and West.

Jason,
Why a new NG? They don’t have much over what yours has. Buy synthetic vision, a 5 blade prop, new P&I and you’ve pretty much have a new one plus 1.5m in the bank.

New one also has 4 year warranty and 4 years of service included.

Plus I get to write the whole thing off instantly.

And you also get to recapture 3.3m instantly.

I am speculating that you are buying a new one to put yourself at the front of the PC24 line when they reopen the order book..... :D

Only if JC sleeps in it. 1031 limited to real estate in new tax law.

There is an interesting way available right now to bypass the recapture. Takes a large number to make it worthwhile. This qualifies but not needed since JC is adding to the “problem” and not ready to “unwind”. Too complicated to post here.

Gotcha, Hence the full write off on the purchase. Is that for only new or used too?

Inquiring minds want to know.... Of course, maybe in a new thread.

On topic, this plane is just perfect and seems to be one of the few planes that really holds it's value.

Jason you use it so much, it will be missed. But selling it early is better than waiting and trading it in for something. That has been my experience anyway.

With the Denali slowly coming out, there has to be some serious updates coming for the PC12. Would only be a reasonable deduction.

Not after you’ve actually done it a few times.

New tax law allows depreciation of new or used. Used to be new only. That is why used aircraft sales picked up after tax changes.
