John - I'm sorry you haven't been able to login to the Commander Forum yet. I'm overwhelmed by spambots there and it takes forever to sift through them all, having to check each ISP manually. But I'll get right on it - standby!
Yes, the hydraulic pressurization system was an early anomaly, even present on the first turbines. The early King Air's had a similar system. The Commander version was made by a company called NY Air Brake Inc, and they've been out of business for decades. Add that not many of these were made to begin with, and you have a unit that's pretty much unserviceable unless you make the parts yourself. It also wasn't that good to start with - the 680FP/FLP's only producing 3.2psi diff.
But if you do want a nice 680FP, I know where one is. He's done everything to it, except make the pressurisation work reliably. Let me know if you're interested in it.
I’m surprised you’re getting spam with the questions just to apply. Maybe you can start charging $1 for a lifetime membership.
Anyway, it’s seems like a guy named Glenn has one and is selling it, just not sure what he wants for it?
I’d have no issue making the parts, that sounds like a little bit of fun if I could get a complete spare, and make parts from it.
