There is such a gold rush for air taxis and delivery... not surprised to see it, but would have expected California not VT.

Looks like they have all the equipment ready to sweep up the pieces.

What a waste. I'm guessing all that heavy equipment in the background is pre-staged to haul the airframe to the landfill.

Looks like someone has too much money and too much time on their hands.

It’s refreshing to see a company actually building something new to see if works instead of promoting vaporware all over the internet. From their website, it sounds like an electric airplane. I wish them luck on whatever it is they’re building.

Isn't Austin Meyer the X-Plane developer with the evolution?

These guys are down the hall from my office and I’m
involved in an advisory role. They’re doing hover testing now. They flew a RC miniature model for a while and have a cool Sim built in their offices. They’ve designed all the flight controls, inverters and batteries etc. It’s all electric and the Lancair fuselage is being used for now, will likely metamorphose into something a little different down the road. A lot of bright people working on this, and it’s pretty well funded with deep pockets on the sidelines.

I give this project a thumbs up. Austin Meyer is a Lancair Evolution owner and the designer of X plane. It will be fun to see if this improves or decreases the IV safety record!

Beta founder and President Kyle Clark is a 2003 Harvard graduate (also played hockey there) and won 1st place for his senior engineering project in 2003.
Check it out, his passion for aviation, or revolutionizing it is quite evident:
