Ok, too many talks of jets lately. The TBM needs its own flying tread. Over the years on BT I have seen new TBM owners here, there is probably close to 10 of use owners here. I dont care what jet drivers are saying but the TBM is the ultimate owner flown aircraft. There is noting else that will give you the performance, fun and ease of flying than a TBM.
Here is some pics from my flight yesterday, can't forget a 424 kts GS.

Its nice to have it when you load large items as bikes, skis or large boxes like I do. Probably the most useful thing on my 850 vs my previous C2 is the pilot door. Username Protected wrote: Nice Marc!
How important is the big door to you? Now that some of the pre-C2 planes are in Meridian price land, it certainly seems like a heck of an airplane for the money.

Here is my typical descent in the TBM, 80% torque, 230 IAS, 2000 fpm. Lots of fun.

Great photos! You are making me miss that amazing airplane. I was fortunate to rack up 199.2, before the owners traded it on an M2. (I love that one, too.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6CBJFQxcY0

Nice Marc! Love the G1000... My IMC approach with a VFR landing at Max’s in October 2016. Excuse me that was departing...

It's an incredible airplane! Living in the middle of the country I find it pretty easy to fly to both coasts and intermediate trips (700-800 NM) are a piece of cake. My wife originally wanted a PC12 for the potty but recently said (now that she has one for emergencies) that she would not like to slow down that much...
The TBM is very comfortable for 4 people and I've had no complaints with six on board for relatively short flights.
I think the big door is nice and helps in loading but I wouldn't turn my nose up at an A or B model if that fit the budget better. But like Marc I really like the pilot door. If I were to upgrade to a newer airframe it would be a requirement for me.
I have the dual G600 and dual 750 install in my legacy TBM. I had a G1000 Perspective in my Cirrus (which I believe is the best G1000 installation of any airframe from what I've seen) and I prefer the G600/750 combo. I didn't think that I would and thought I was taking a step backwards but I have changed my mind. RVSM is now available for the dual G600 install and I'm taking my plane to Muncie next week to get it done. Really, being in the tops of clouds a number of times has been my only complaint and that will be largely fixed shortly.
