I am delighted that people like this thread. To be fair this is Dave S's thread/brainchild. Happy to be able to contribute. Flying jets is something many of us aspire to do. Happy to share my experiences as they happen. Learned a lot. Both from flying the jets and the coaching I have received on this thread. Lots of experienced guys providing insights. Can't get anything past any of them. Love it. Having had a bunch of fun. The whole young attractive copilot thing has taken on a life of its own. No young female copilots were hurt during the development of this thread.

I have logged 550 hours (see what I did there?) since March of 2015 (20 months). 80% is contract and 20% for my businesses. It's fun getting paid to fly jets. There are frustrations but all in all it's been worthwhile.

Greatest regret is how hard it is to get BTers to join me on flights. I do get that you all have lives. Respect that. Just be fun to fly with you.

Mark: I just kicked off the thread. Thanks for the credit, but you're living it and took it to a new level. I'm enjoying your adventure.

Another Telluride landing. My right seat "companion" (re Michael P) is actually a buddies GF. The banter is mildly amusing.

Here is another skiing video from later that day.

Mark, I'd very much like to get a chance to fly with you. My schedule is often flexible and I might be available on short notice depending on what's going on at work.

The best way to reach me is my cellphone : 612 867-4102. During the week I also respond to emails at lancef@quantum-controls.com

I live and work within 15 minutes of KFCM. Keep in mind that I have zero turbine time other than a session or two flying copilot with Dave S in SimCom's King Air sim.

Did a trip from Scottsdale to Salt Lake and back yesterday. This is the departure video. It was reported 1.25 viz in snow. I think it was a little better. Two noteworthy items. The SIC is the SIMCOM instructor that got me and John L our type ratings in the 550. He had years as a 747-400 Captain. Retired in 2003. Heart attack last year. Will never get his medical back apparently. This is first actual flight in years and the first in a Citation ever. Being that I am SPW in the 500 I didn't need an SIC. So anyone can ride up front. It is a gift I could give him and he was overjoyed.

Second...we used the boots right at the end of the clip. I splice in the boots being activated. Pretty typical result in any booted airplane I have flown.

YMMV.

This is a complete flight from Scottsdale to Prescott with my SIMCOM instructor. It is nearly 30 minutes long. Nothing remarkable other than a near bird strike on departure. It also shows how busy it can be on such a short flight.

Nice momento for your friend! Very nice. Going to do one of these in my plane for a friend that's going to use my plane so he will have documentation of all its little idiosyncrasies.

I think the amount you fly will be hard to make it any easier :D

Quick question, I've never been trained for crew CRM BTW.

When someone reads a check list is the correct response, yep? Being a check list I thought 'check' would be more appropriate.

Some of the airline guys I guess will let us know.

Andrew.
