Looks like a beautiful flight.
George former 600 owner. What makes you think he wants to come back?

"First"?
I'm not sure.
I bet I have more landings in Bermuda in an AVGAS aircraft (since the Navy Flying Club) than anyone else. (2)
I went in 2008 (informally), this was my 2nd trip over in N601PE.
This time I shipped more AVGAS and my plan (once all regulatory bugs are worked out) is to do regular trips from Norfolk, VA.
AND to bring formation flights of other General Aviation aircraft to the island.
It is never going to be cheap to visit Bermuda, but Bermuda is a special place, great people, pretty scenery, good food, and well worth the trip.
The reason for flying ones self is the adventure of heading out over a fair sized piece of ocean. Flying over lots of water, isn't for everyone, and peoples' desire for adventure varies, but the charge I always get from heading out over the ocean, and then sighting land after several hours of just water, is habit forming. After a few hours of navigating, calling in position reports, tracking fuel consumption, etc. the concerns of life on the ground seem very far away.

Bought a 601P. Working to get pre-buy annual insurance, parking and checkout done... Then I have to decide how much I want to fly it before I take it in to get GTN750 and ADS-B...
New Toy should be Fun!

Jason Yep, that was me. That time I went over VFR and had no experience with long overwater flights which added a bit more excitement to the mix, this time, with the HF it was a pretty streight forward flight.
