I had no idea that those big old birds had reversible props? can you say dirt ingestion?

Did you fly the 6? Seems like a neat plane.
As for reverse, there's a few GA plane with it too, as you know. Baron being one. I've never had the need for an expensive reversible prop, but can see some advantages.

Pretty sure it was OEM on the Baron. Some P Barons had this. Fred Scott had one.

I fly with a guy who has a lot of time in the -6. He said that when you reverse the props, its not unusual for one or more to go into feather instead of reverse, but totally manageable.

Also the old Republic Seabee has "back up." First time I ever saw one, the pilot (a good friend) followed my parking signals perfectly, except he let it roll about ten feet more, while I waved frantically to stop. He grinned, then backed into place. I was amazed. I was maybe 14, in about 1954. Neat airplane, love it on the water.

In the full version youtube video, he appears to restart #4 later to finish his taxi off the runway. Unless it's one of those camera tricks that happens when running props look static.
