I get that it is not a great mission for a 550 but that aside... I've had great success with Alan at http://www.flightplansolutions.comIt's a small business, and he gets stuff done for reasonable prices. Have used his services over the years for ferries to South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Recommend you get a trip cost estimate from him for your ferry.

I get that it is not a great mission for a 550 but that aside... I have used Caribbean Sky Tours for a flight to Central America with great results. They are good people. It's actually who Fltplan.com contracts with for their handling. http://www.caribbeanskytours.com/flight-services.html

One theme of this thread is flying leased Citations. I just leased a second Citation that is based on my field in Upper Michigan. Cheaper and more convenient that using the Scottsdale based Citation when I am in Michigan for the summer. I will say leasing a jet is not a trivial task. The details can be time consuming. Here is a a partial list: Lease agreed to and signed Insurance with Waiver of Subrogation http://www.jimgardneraviationinsurance. ... f=articlesFuel Cards - Have to add this tail number to 6 different fuel cards ICAO Info - Add to Garmin Pilot and Fltplan.com Performance info Add to Garmin & Fltplan.com Maintenance currency review Documentation review AFM review ID differences (e.g. Anti Skid procedure, Fuel computer, FMS ) Study flight manuals for differences (FMS - Universal vs KLN90B vs Garmin) Review which service bulletins are relevant. - EG Minimum turnaround time (brake energy depends on SB 550-32-12) Weight and balance - Have to program this aircraft into my W&B app on ipad Customs sticker RVSM & MMEL Understand flight documentation process used by shop. Add N number to Fltplan.com DOTCOM service The irony is that unlike an FBO rental aircraft (which would require a check ride of sorts) in jets it is mostly a case of checking that I am properly typed and current and then the owner says "here is the key". Do you want it topped? It is a process....and a time consuming one at that.
