Looks just like a velocity and will probably perform just like one (if ever built)

As for the business model? I'm not sure either, but then again, I don't know how Amazon stayed in business for so long without showing a profit, or Tesla for that matter.

Nothing to do with the Raptor business model, or with Tesla.

But, Amazon has been putting every cent back into the business for years.

This graph doesn't prove this claim. All it proves is that they are growing in sales but still making no money. They operate on massive amounts of volume but they're squeezed to death by margins. As as customer, I love Amazon. Eventually I think they'll figure out how to make money.

Well, Bezos has made himself fabulously wealthy somehow via Amazon, and I for one appreciate that he is pouring much of that wealth into an even bigger hole than an aviation venture...space!

As an early-adopter customer, I too am extremely satisfied with Amazon's performance as a retailer and expect them to continue to push the envelope.

I just wish I would have bought a few shares when I first became a customer...

I have a new business plan...sell dollar bills for $0.95. I can grow this business rapidly. I believe. How do I make money? Cost control.

Posting the charter of the federal reserve might smack too close to Politics for the moderators to appreciate. :D

Anyone can put numbers on a page. I think if the diesel engine had "that much" magic, then it would've taken aviation by storm.

Mike, I nominate you to post drawings and specs for the Brannigan 5000. Be bold. Come up with something as ambitious as the Raptor.

HAHA, I've educated myself on the Federal Reserve, it's the wildest scheme I've ever read about in my life; possibly more so than Raptor actually becoming a real airplane. I was making fun of the airplane to an airplane pilot and then he told me he had a deposit on one. OOPS! Foot in mouth. I highly doubt that the escrow is protected but who knows.

I also like that they're looking into running the engine coolant through the leading edges of the the wing and canard to provide anti-icing.

Bird strike equals coolant loss equals imminent engine failure.

Not enough waste heat from a piston engine to do that in any case, not at 300 knots for sure.

But it won't go 300 knots in any case. It will be an achievement to go over 200, and 300 takes more than 3 times the power of 200.

Check valves easily solve the bird strike problem. The rest?

The could get some gains with a really clean airframe, but 300kts... no way, and yes, 200 would be an accomplishment.

Heck if the performance were half, and the price doubles, it would still be a bargain. I'm not optimistic.
