Cirrus, known for its marketing, is going even farther. For those few who are still not convinced about the worth of the chute, you can now try one out. For just cost of repack, new rocket and chute, about $20K, you can go up with a demo pilot and do an actual chute descent. They have a bit of weight added to the tail so it lands 3 point on the wheels and no harm done. For an additional price, $50k, you can even get a celebrity to be your co pilot. Angelina Jolie is one who may be in demand and who is a pilot and Cirrus owner. Not sure how long this offer will be in effect. Cirrus is also planning to make this an airshow act, two planes do some acro, then fly head on until pulling up into a power on stall at which time they pull the chutes and land 3 point at show center. That's outside the box marketing.
